Acavallo 2012
Budget and Build

TIMELINE

Summer 2012 - reBUILD! We've gotten the old carousel parts shipped out to Tonasket, and piled up in front of the shop, ready to get sawed and shaped into the new format.

June: Build gooseneck trailer, and fit with drive motor and axle. Rebuild brakes and lights all all that roadworthy stuff too.

July: weld up old frames to new configuration. Assemble. This is a lot of work! We need your help! If you got nothing better to do, come on up to Tonasket WA and get your weld and grind on!

August: Lights and powerup, sound gear, stage accessories, all that good stuff for:

Burning Man 2012 - The carousel debuts!

And then, it's out into the world. Parades, events, parties, anything is possible. The machine is designed to be flexible, so it can go anywhere.

BUDGET

Here's a spreadsheet of what we expect to shell out.

Acavallo 2012

$
Trailer Gear, Metal for Trusses $2,860
Driveline and Motor $1,200
Sound System $2,750
Lighting and Electrics $2,050
Fire System $1,750
Burning Man $1,244
Shop Rent and supplies $1,950
subtotals $13,804
Shipping container of parts to WA from NY $3,500
Total $17,304

There are things in here that could use more money - better sound gear, better lights, but this will cover the carousel ats it's shown. We've already done the shipping of the container, now we're buying parts for the trailer and steel for the new frames.

We will, of course, gladly take donations - if you have any gear (generator, lights, sound stuff) you want to give to the project, please get in touch with Quill - his email is [email protected] and his phone number is 509 560 9520.
